Using the Assistant
Start AI Agent chats, provide workspace context, select an autonomy mode, and apply reusable skills.
After the AI Agent is enabled and you have access, select AI Agent at the bottom of Blue. The panel is available on desktop.
- Select New AI chat to start a conversation.
- Select Chat history to open a previous conversation.
- Minimize a chat to keep it in the dock. Close it to remove it from the dock without deleting its history.
If the assistant is unavailable, the panel shows the plan, configuration, or access requirement instead of the composer.
Add Context
When you send a message from a workspace, Blue provides that workspace and its visible lists as context.
Enter @ in the composer to reference a specific record or workspace. Select an item from the suggestions instead of entering an ID.
Select an Autonomy Mode
Select a mode from the composer before you send a message:
- Plan: The assistant reads information and proposes steps. It does not change Blue data.
- Ask: The assistant reads without approval. Each write appears in an action card with Execute and Cancel.
- Auto: Blue can run a reversible, single-item write after the checker model classifies it as safe. Bulk, destructive, non-reversible, and uncertain writes still require approval.
Ask is the default. If you change the mode, the new mode applies to your next message.

For the detailed rules around bulk changes, destructive actions, and @Blue comment approvals, see Safety and Approvals.
Apply a Skill
Skills are saved instructions that apply to one message.
- Open Skills in the composer, or enter
/and select a skill. - Send your message. Blue includes the selected skill’s instructions in that turn.
- To create or edit a skill, select Manage skills….
- Personal skills are visible only to you and are available across your organizations.
- Org skills are visible to organization members. Organization owners and administrators manage them.
- Built-in skills are available to everyone and cannot be edited.

Rename a Chat
Enter /rename followed by a name, such as /rename Q3 planning.
If you enter /rename without a name, Blue generates a name from the conversation.
