Learn where Blue's core systems and sub-processors store or process customer data.

Blue stores and processes customer data on its own production systems in the European Union (EU). Blue also uses third-party sub-processors to provide parts of the service.

Core EU Systems

  • Application servers: Hetzner infrastructure in Germany hosts Blue’s application and API services.
  • Databases and backups: EU-hosted MySQL systems store application data and database backups.
  • File storage: Backblaze EU stores new files from records, comments, forms, and documents.
  • AI conversation history: Blue stores saved prompts, responses, and actions on its EU systems.

Sub-Processors

Some services use sub-processors that operate in the US or globally. For example, Cloudflare provides global DNS, content delivery, and security services. Stripe processes payments in the US, and Google provides mobile and push-notification services from the US.

The Sub-Processors page is the current source for each provider’s purpose and data location.

Customer-Configured AI

If you enable an AI feature, you select the AI provider and connect your own account and API key. Blue sends the requested content to that provider under your configuration. The processing location depends on your provider account and settings.

You can disable AI features and remove the configured API key in your organization’s AI settings.
