Saved Views

Save filters, sorting, grouping, and display settings so you or your workspace members can reuse them.

Saved Views store a view configuration for later use. A saved view can be personal or shared with the workspace.

Settings that Blue saves

A saved view includes:

  • Filters: Search text, assignees, tags, date ranges, and advanced filters
  • Sorting: Sort field and ascending or descending direction
  • Grouping: Grouping fields and options for Board, Database, and Timeline views
  • Column Settings: Hidden columns, pinned columns, column order, and column widths for the Database view
  • View Type: Board, Database, Calendar, Timeline, or Map
  • Timeline Settings: Zoom, date configuration, dependency display, cascade, and critical path state

Calendar date presets stay relative in saved views. For example, a saved view with This month shows the current month each time you open it. A custom date range stays fixed.

Each saved view keeps its own column widths, so two views of the same table can show the same column at different widths. Resizing a column marks the view as changed, the same as hiding one — select Update View to keep the new widths.

Views saved before column widths existed have no stored widths. Opening one leaves your current widths alone; the widths are stored the first time you update the view.

Apply a saved view

  1. Select Views.
  2. Select a saved view. Blue applies its filters, sorting, grouping, and display settings.

When a saved view is active:

  • The control shows the saved view’s name instead of Views.
  • A blue border appears around the control.
  • The icon changes to match the active view type.

Personal and shared views

Personal Views are private. Only you can see, edit, or delete your personal views.

Shared Views are available to all workspace members. Use them for common configurations such as All Open Records or This Week’s Deadlines.

Set a default view

A default view opens automatically when you enter the workspace.

  • Personal Default: Opens for you. Open the view’s menu and select Set as my default, or select this option when you create the view.
  • Workspace Default: Opens for members who do not have a personal default. Only administrators can set it.

If both defaults exist, Blue opens your personal default.

Update a saved view

When you change an active saved view, an asterisk (*) appears beside its name.

Choose one of these actions:

  • Update View: Save the current changes to the active view.
  • Reset Changes: Discard the current changes and restore the saved configuration.

Manage saved views

Point to a view and select its menu. Then select an action:

  • Edit: Change the name, icon, or sharing settings.
  • Duplicate: Create a personal copy.
  • Set as my default: Set your personal default.
  • Set as workspace default: Set the default for all members who have no personal default. This action requires administrator access.
  • Delete: Permanently remove the view.

Share a saved view URL

When a saved view is active, its ID appears in the URL. Share this URL with a workspace member who has access to the view.

When the member opens the URL, Blue applies the saved view.
