Inbox
See every comment, chat, and AI conversation that needs your attention across all your workspaces, in one place.
Inbox brings together everything you need to respond to across Blue — record comments, workspace chats, and your AI conversations — into a single, cross-workspace list. Instead of checking each workspace separately, you can catch up on everything from one screen.
You’ll find Inbox in the main sidebar, alongside Home, Assignments, and your other organization-wide views — separate from your individual workspaces.
Inbox shows activity across every workspace you’re a member of in the current organization. It doesn’t include workspaces in other organizations you belong to.
What shows up in your Inbox
Inbox aggregates three kinds of conversations:
- Records — comment threads on records (tasks). A record’s entire comment history — every reply, from anyone — lives under one entry, so replying to a record you’ve already discussed updates its existing Inbox entry rather than creating a new one.
- Chats — workspace chat topics you’re a member of.
- AI — your own conversations with Blue’s AI agent, whether you started them from the AI panel or a record’s comment thread.
Each entry shows who was last active, a preview of the latest message, and when it happened — sorted with the most recently active conversations first.
Filtering your Inbox
Along the top of the list, tabs let you narrow what you’re looking at:
- All — everything you have access to.
- Unread — only conversations with new activity since you last read them.
- Assigned — records where you’re an assignee.
- Commented — threads you’ve posted in yourself.
- Mentioned — threads where someone @mentioned you.
A second toggle lets you filter by type — Records, Chats, or AI — so you can focus on just one kind of conversation at a time. The two filters work together, so you can, for example, view only unread chat threads.
Reading and replying
Click any entry to open it. Record comments, chat messages, and AI replies all open in the same reading view, so you don’t need to learn a different layout for each type — you can scroll through the full conversation and reply directly from Inbox.
Opening a conversation from Inbox automatically marks it as read. To flag something for later without opening it, right-click an entry and choose Mark as unread.
Right-clicking an entry also gives you the option to Open in new tab, which takes you to the record, chat, or AI conversation in its original context — useful when you want the full toolset (like editing a record’s other fields) rather than just replying.
Staying up to date
Inbox updates in real time — new messages, replies, and mentions appear without needing to refresh. If you have unread activity anywhere in your Inbox, a small blue dot appears next to the Inbox item in the sidebar, so you always know at a glance whether there’s something waiting for you.
Read state syncs across every device and browser tab you’re signed into, so marking something as read on your phone also marks it as read on your desktop.
Privacy
Your AI conversations are private — no one else in your organization can see them, including organization owners. Record comment and chat visibility follows the same workspace permissions and roles that apply everywhere else in Blue, so if a role restricts what someone can see in a workspace, that same restriction applies to what shows up in their Inbox.
