Sidebar Visibility

Show, hide, and reorder the Platform section of the sidebar for everyone in your organization.


The Platform section at the top of the sidebar (Home, Assignments, Inbox, Activity, Calendar, Dashboards, Reports, Map, and Settings) is the same for everyone in your organization. An owner can declutter and reorder it — hiding the items your team doesn’t use and putting the most important ones first — the same way you already organize the Workspaces list.

Who can change it

Only an organization owner can edit the Platform section. The layout is shared across the whole organization: when an owner shows, hides, or reorders an item, the change applies to every member.

Editing the sidebar

There are two ways to open the editor:

  • From the sidebar — hover over the Platform section header and click the settings icon (Customize sidebar).
  • From settings — open Settings > Sidebar.

In the editor:

  • Toggle an item’s switch off to hide it, or on to show it.
  • Drag the handle next to an item to reorder it. The order in the list is the order it appears in the sidebar.

Changes save automatically and take effect for everyone in the organization.

What hiding an item does

Hiding an item removes it from the Platform section for all members. If someone opens a hidden item’s link directly (a bookmark or a typed URL), Blue redirects them to the first visible Platform item instead.

Hiding Settings only removes it from the Platform section — it stays reachable from your profile menu, so you never lose access to your organization settings.
