Time in List

Track how long each record spends in every list and show the time distribution automatically.

The Time in List field tracks how long a record spends in each list. Blue starts tracking automatically when you add the field to a workspace.

Use this data to identify stages where records wait longer than expected.

Tracked Data

Blue tracks the following data without manual updates:

  1. Entry and exit times: Blue records when a record enters and leaves each list.
  2. Completed duration: Blue calculates the difference between the entry and exit times.
  3. Current duration: For the current list, Blue calculates the time from entry until now.
  4. List history: Blue keeps tracked time when a list is renamed or deleted.
  5. Percentage breakdown: Blue shows each list’s share of the record’s total tracked time.

Display The Data

Time in List data appears in these locations:

  • Record cards: Show Time in List for the current list and Time in Project for the total workspace time. Turn each value on or off in the card interface settings.
  • Record detail view: Show a color-coded progress bar for the relative time across all lists.
  • Progress segment details: Point to a segment to see its list name and exact duration.
