Last updated by

Show the person, automation, form, API key, or Blue process that most recently changed each record.

The Last updated by field identifies the actor that most recently changed a record. Add it to a workspace to distinguish changes from teammates, automations, integrations, and Blue processes.

Common Uses

  • Identify the latest editor: See who made the most recent change to a record.
  • Review automated changes: Group by Last updated by to find changes from automations, formulas, or repeat schedules.
  • Review API and form changes: Find records last changed through a form, API key, or external integration.
  • Filter by editor: Find records changed by you or another teammate during a specified period.

Field Behavior

Last updated by is system-managed and read-only. Blue updates it when someone changes the record title, description, field values, status, comments, attachments, checklist items, or tags.

The value can identify one of these actors:

  • A teammate: The user who made the change.
  • An automation: The automation action that made the change.
  • A public form: The form submission that created or changed the record.
  • An API key: The key used for a change through the public API.
  • A Blue system process: A formula, repeat, Lookup recalculation, or another internal update.
