Last updated by shows who made the most recent change to a record. Use it with Updated at to see who changed a record and when.
Last updated by is a read-only value on every record in every database. You do not need to add it. You cannot remove it.
Where Last updated by appears
- Record: Last updated by appears with the other fields when you open a record.
- Table view: The Last updated by column shows the name of the person.
- Field Management: Last updated by is listed with a Default badge. You cannot edit or remove it.
When Blue changes the value
Blue changes the value each time a field value on the record changes. Blue records the actor that made the change:
- A teammate: The user who made the change.
- An API key: The change came through the API. Blue shows the owner of the key.
- An automation: An automation action made the change.
- A form: A form submission made the change.
- Blue: Blue calculated a value, such as a formula or a lookup.
